The Election

British Columbia's next provincial election will be held on May 9th, 2017.

You can vote in a provincial election if you:

  1. are a Canadian citizen,
  2. will be at least 18 years old on General Voting Day,
  3. have been a resident of B.C. for the six months immediately before General Voting Day,
  4. are registered as a voter, and
  5. are not disqualified from voting.


You can register as a voter before April 11th OR on when you go to vote.

Advance Polls will be open from Saturday, April 29 – Sunday, April 30 (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time) and Wednesday, May 3 – Saturday, May 6 (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time)
